Our little halfling joined our family in October 2022 and changed our lives in the best way imaginable. Before she was even here, we’d been working hard to make her little space a haven. My husband, Jon, tore up the old carpet and installed beautiful flooring. He also replaced all the trim and painted everything white! I added all the little touches here and details there (Tolkien themed, of course).

But the most unique and eye-catching part of the Shire nursery is the mural my dad hand painted! He based it off an illustration and came up with a sketch with the room’s dimensions. From there, he drew the outline on the wall, then went back over it with a paint brush. He is so generous (and talented!), and blessed us more than I can even express.

I’m in awe every time I enter my little one’s nursery. It is the most unique, special nursery I’ve ever seen. My little Everly gets to grow up in the Shire!
