Are you planning your next Disney World trip? Read on to learn all about Disney PhotoPass and Memory Maker!

Photo Pass

For starters, did you know that Disneyland and Disney World have their very own photographers stationed throughout the parks? It’s part of Disney PhotoPass, and it’s amazing.

With Disney PhotoPass, you can:

  • get everyone in the picture
  • easily link photos to your Disney account using a MagicBand, PhotoPass card, theme park tickets, or annual pass
  • get unlimited photo downloads from various park locations and some attractions when you purchase the Memory Maker (more on this later!)
  • purchase personalized photo products

I’ve used PhotoPass during each of my visits to Disneyland and Disney World, but for this post I will be referencing Disney World specifically as we just went in April of 2021! Here are the PhotoPass locations and attractions we took advantage of! (I’m sure there were more, we just didn’t get to them all.)

Magic Kingdom

  • Cinderella’s Castle
  • Main Street
  • Pirates of the Caribbean
  • Splash Mountain
  • Space Mountain
  • Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin

Animal Kingdom

  • Tree of Life
  • across the lake from Expedition Everest
  • Expedition Everest

Epcot

  • in front of Spaceship Earth
  • France
  • Italy
  • Japan

I shared a ton of these photos on my Instagram page if you want to check them out! We basically stopped for a photo op every time we saw a photographer. My hubby, Jon, doesn’t love posing for photos (even though he’s such a cutie!), but he knows how much photos mean to me. He was such a good sport, and now we have so many great photos!

Memory Maker

Okay, so now that you know all about PhotoPass, let’s talk about Memory Maker!

Memory Maker is a product you can purchase that allows you to download ALL the photos you want! Right now, there are 3 different pricing options, depending on how many days you “Disney-ed.”

Memory Maker One Day – $69.00

This option includes all your photos and videos from one day of your choosing. May be used upon purchase. Purchase is non-refundable.

Memory Maker – Advance Purchase – $169.00

This option includes all your photos and videos from your vacation. You must wait at least 3 days after purchase to activate. Purchase is non-refundable.

Memory Maker – $199.00

This option includes all your photos and videos from your vacation. May be used upon purchase. Purchase is non-refundable.

We only did 2 park days this trip, 1 day at Magic Kingdom and 1 park hopper day at Animal Kingdom and Epcot. The best option for us was to purchase two separate Memory Maker One Day’s for a total of $138. I purchased them before our park days, but I could have purchased and activated them the same day if I wanted to.

Once your Memory Maker is connected to your Disney account (along with your PhotoPass card) you can see ALL your photos and begin to download them! I did this using the Disney World app.

This investment is so worth it to me! We ended up with 177 photos, and you have the option to download them all in high and medium resolution! I love this option because I use the medium resolution photos for social media and the high resolution photos for prints.

Here’s how I look at Disney trips. They are expensive, all things considered. Disney is my absolute favorite special occasion type of thing, and I love to dress up for it and look cute! Why not get some good quality photos while you look put together in the most magical place on earth?

Take my money, Disney. You had me at PhotoPass.
