I’ve spent some long days on my feet in the Disney parks. My record was on New Year’s Eve, 7:30am-2:30am the next day! After 19 hours, your feet are probably going to hurt no matter what shoes you wear, BUT I’ve figured out a few tips and tricks that help with “Disney feet” as I like to call them. Tip #3 is the key. Are you ready?
Tip 1: the sneaker
Find a sneaker you will LOVE for the parks. Not just an okay sneaker, but one that gives you enough support, that is comfortable, and (bonus points!) looks cute with any outfit. Here are some options I love, but there are definitely options out there with more support if that’s what you need!

Nike Air Force 1 ’07 EasyOn in white
Chuck Taylor All Star Classic in white
Tip 2: the sandal
Find a sandal you can wear all day long that gives your feet some breathing room. My go-to sandals are Birkenstocks. They fit my feet so well and are super comfortable! They come in a variety of styles so you can find one that works best for your feet, and there are many cute colors to choose from. Here’s my favorite style:
Mayari Birko-Flor in Graceful Pearl White
Tip 3: the combo
Here’s my tried and true trick to help deal with Disney feet. I alternate between the sneaker and the sandal.
This simple trick just mixes things up for my feet and seriously helps with the pain so much! I start the day in one kind of shoe and switch to the other for the second half of the day. Sandals are a great option for when my feet start to swell!
If you like to stay in the parks all day, you can bring a backpack with a change of shoes (and even an extra outfit for when you are sweaty or wet from a ride). If you don’t feel like carrying around a backpack all day but you want the extra shoes and outfit, you can rent a locker for the day. Lockers are located near the entrance of the park.
If you like to take a break in the middle of the day and go back to your resort for a nap or a dip in the pool (my personal favorite!), you can switch out your shoes and outfit then. It’s such a nice reset for a long day in the parks!
Do you have any other strategies to deal with Disney feet? I’d love to hear them.
